Make way for the Gen-X’ers! While 2014 may have been the year of the boomer, 2015 is the beginning of a new era; one where Generation X starts turning 50.

According to some, Generation X is the sandwich generation, spanning just about 15 years starting in 1965. That was a time when Lyndon B. Johnson was president, “My Fair Lady” won the Oscar for best picture, and the Civil Rights movement was in full swing.

We have to say, 50 just keeps getting hotter every year. In 2013, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp, both former “Sexiest Man Alive” title-holders, celebrated the milestone birthday. This year, we welcomed First Lady Michelle Obama, Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves into the fold, to name a few. And this coming year, things are going to heat up even more when our favorite superhero, Hollywood’s resident bad boy, and half of the Sex and the City crew all turn the big 5-0:
