It’s that time of year when countless fans descend upon San Diego to attend Comic-Con for a chance to get a sneak peek at some of their most highly anticipated upcoming genre movies. IGN will be there en masse and we’re just as eager as you to see what Hollywood has in store in the months and years ahead.

Here are five movies we know (or strongly suspect) will be at this year’s Con that we can’t wait to check out.

Cowabunga! The Michael Bay-produced reboot hits theaters August 8th, but SDCC attendees are expected to get a sneak peek at footage from the film during Paramount Pictures’ panel in Hall H on Thursday, July 24, between 3:00-4:00pm.

The long-awaited second installment is looking to pack a momentous punch at SDCC ’14. Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller will be on-hand to present footage from the film on Saturday, July 26, at 2:50pm in Hall H.
