Are The Spice Girls Planning A 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour?

Stop right now, thank you very much: Your Spice Girl dreams might be coming true.

According to The Sun, the girl group is reportedly planning a reunion tour for next year’s 20th anniversary of their debut single “Wannabe.” The U.K. website is reporting that Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell will begin negotiations for an international tour soon. However, Victoria Beckham allegedly won’t be involved due to time constraints. Reps for the musicians did not immediately respond to request for comment, so we can’t help but wonder, is a Spice reunion actually happening, or is this all wishful thinking?

On Friday morning, Bunton and Chisholm tweeted about the news and both seemed a bit unprepared for the rumored reunion. Sporty asked if she should start practicing her backflips, while Baby wondered if she should revert to her signature hairstyle:

Woke up this morning wondering whether I need to start practising my backflips???!!!

But later on Friday, Bunton confirmed to Heart FM that no official plans are happening yet. According to SkyNews, the former Spice Girl reportedly told the radio show, “If anything happens and it’s concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know, but nothing’s happening at the moment.” But there’s still one former Spice Girl eager to reunite who’s giving us hope.

Last month, The Huffington Post caught up with Mel B, aka Scary Spice, to hear about her new season of “America’s Got Talent.” The reality show judge told us “nothing’s really happening right now” when asked about a reunion tour, but she did say she was onboard for one. “I would love it more than anything,” she said. We’ll take that as a maybe.
