Ronda Rousey can throw her weight around a UFC match, needing no more than a minute to take down her opponents. One guy she’s not throwing her weight behind, however, is Donald Trump.
Can someone please inform The Donald of that?
The Republican presidential candidate named Rousey as a fan during an interview with CNN that aired Wednesday. “I tell you what. I know some women, that are just — Ronda Rousey, is an example, who likes me … I‘d take her on my side as a fighter,” Trump said, when asked if he would let women fight in the military.
However, Rousey — arguably one of the most popular names in sport right now — isn’t sharing the love. CNN’s Chris Cuomo said after the interview aired, Rousey told the network Trump is not her pick for 2016.
“She tells CNN, ‘I am not going to vote for Trump. I wouldn’t trust the guy with running my country,'” Cuomo said.

And it’s not as if Trump wouldn’t be aware of Rousey’s stance. Because those comments actually came in a separate interview with CNN ahead of her UFC 190 title fight against Bethe Correia earlier this month.
“I mean, I wouldn’t vote for him. I just really wouldn’t trust the guy with running my country, that’s all,” she said. “I’m not really going to get into specifics of it, but I don’t want a reality TV star to be running my country.”
This Ronda takedown? 17 seconds.
