Bryan Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg are busy at work on the script for X-Men: Apocalypse. The highly anticipated sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be released in May of 2016 and though it has not been confirmed, Singer is likely to return to direct.
We recently had the opportunity to speak with Erik Lensherr aka Magneto himself, Michael Fassbender, about his upcoming musical turn in Frank. During the course of our conversation, we touched on his hopes for Apocalypse.
Though both First Class and Days of Future Past had separate overarching baddies, Magneto has remained, for the most part, a villain. When asked if he was looking forward to the prospect of going up against a character like Apocalypse, the actor responded, “Yeah, I mean, I haven’t got a script or anything yet, but I’m always excited to see where Simon Kinberg’s going to go with the next X-Men. X-Men’s been great to me and allowed me to do so much, including films like Frank. I’ve had a lot of fun with the cast and with the character, Magneto. So I had a good chat with Simon
