The Emmys are all about honoring a lot of white men excellence in television. On Sunday night, that meant lots of awards for “Olive Kitteridge” and also several insults made at the expense of the hot garbage that was “True Detective” Season 2.
“We also said goodbye to ‘True Detective,'” Andy Samberg said early in the evening, “Even though it’s still on the air.”
There was also a full-on bit with actress and comedian Lauren Lapkus as melancholic guitar girl.
This post will be updated with the additional “True Detective” burns that are sure to come before the night is over. Until then, here are our friends on Twitter being mean <3.
