With the first digital chapter of Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman being released today, we hopped on the phone with writer Gail Simone and artist Ethan Van Sciver to hear about taking Wonder Woman to Gotham City, working in the old DCU again, and bringing back a fan-favorite character.

IGN Comics: How did you two come to be on this project together?

Ethan Van Sciver: Well, I asked for a Wonder Woman book. But I was fortunate because DC was already planning this new digital-first series called Sensation Comics, and they asked me, first and foremost, who I would like to collaborate with. The answer to that was easy. If I could have my dream writer on Wonder Woman, it would be Gail Simone. Fortunately, she said yes.
