The kid from the 1988 movie, “Big,” is now 40 years old, which is a whole half decade older than the magically all-grown-up character Tom Hanks played in the flick. The once child actor, David Moscow, may not have aged to look exactly like Tom Hanks, as Zoltar predicted, but he has stuck with movies and is now trying to raise money to finish his directorial debut.

Moscow created a Kickstarter asking for $57,000 to complete the post-production on his film, “Desolation.” Now, with only a week left to donate to the campaign, Moscow still needs to raise over $10,000 to reach the goal.

As Don Draper once said on a “Mad Men” season finale, “Nostalgia — it’s delicate, but potent.”

This “Big” dose of nostalgia may just be strong enough to raise the money.

Donning a Letterman jacket and finding a Zoltar to grant a wish, Moscow gives a glimpse of what “Big” would have looked like if he ended up playing both the child and grown-up roles in the movie, “Boyhood” style.

You’ve got to spend money to make money, especially when magic is involved.

Moscow’s recreation starts slightly after the one-minute mark in his advertisement video for the Kickstarter.

Large donations would be helpful, but bigger is always better.
