Good news for Rosie O’Donnell: After months of duking it out in court, the former “View” host and ex-wife Michelle Rounds have amicably settled their divorce, People reports.
“There’s peace in the Middle East,” O’Donnell, 53, told reporters on Wednesday, after spending three hours in a Manhattan courthouse. “It’s done. We’ve settled. We’re both very happy about the outcome.”
Rounds’ lawyer told New York Post’s Page Six that the pair had agreed to joint legal custody of their two-year-old daughter.
O’Donnell initially filed for divorce from Rounds, her second wife, in February after a little more than two years of marriage

The exes have been battling for custody of their daughter since April, when Rounds filed for sole custody of the little girl. At the time, a rep for O’Donnell called Round’s request “an absurd attempt to use a child for her own gain.”
Rounds told Page Six on Wednesday that she felt “great” about the agreed-upon custody arrangement.
The couple married in June 2012 at their home in Nyack, New York and adopted their daughter in January 2013. O’Donnell also has four children with her first wife Kelli Carpenter.
O’Donnell has has been making headlines for more than just her divorce these last few months. During a stand-up show in New York City earlier this week, the former talk show addressed her heartbreak over daughter Chelsea’s tell-all to the Daily Mail. (In August, the 18-year-old left O’Donnell’s house and went to live with her birth mother in Wisconsin.)
“I love all of my kids. My daughter has been in the news. It’s been in the news, but it’s not news to the family. It’s been a decade long,” O’Donnell reportedly told the crowd on Saturday. “Chelsea just turned 18. For adopted children, 18 is a magic number. At 18, they’re gonna rebel any way they can, any way they can get your attention.”
