Sarah Jessica Parker Says 'Hocus Pocus' Sequel Might Not Be A Reality

All the “Hocus Pocus” sequel talk might’ve put a spell on us a little too soon.

Fans have been buzzing about the possibility for a long time, and star Bette Midler even said she had “canvassed” her co-stars and it was up to Disney to make it happen. Unfortunately, it appears no one told any of this to Sarah Jessica Parker.

At the opening for the Broadway play “Sylvia,” which stars her husband, Matthew Broderick, SJP told Vulture that the sequel was “just on the World Wide Web.” She continued, saying, “We’ve all been exchanging funny, not-reality-based messages to one another. [That’s] as much as I know.”

OK, what? This raises huge questions. Did SJP really never take any sequel talk seriously? Was it all just a big joke from the beginning? And why does she still call the Internet the “World Wide Web”?

We get that Midler was joking about Disney holding up production because there was trouble “finding a virgin,” but now it appears the whole thing may have just been the Sanderson Sisters up to no good.
