Sharlto Copley (District 9, The A-Team) and Michelle Forbes (True Blood, The Killing) have signed on to PlayStation’s upcoming television adaptation of the Powers comic series.

According to Variety, Copley is set to play lead Christian Walker — a “dapper and charismatic character with a darkness and violence right at the surface but with a sense of buried integrity.” The site goes on to describe the character as a “faded rock star,” since the character once had superpowers, but lost them in battle with a “super-human mass killer.” Walker is now a detective who uses his expertise to track crime in the Powers world.
