Pope Francis released his much anticipated 11-track pop-rock-infused album, “Wake Up!” on Friday in Italy as the international release date nears.
“Wake Up!” features Pope Francis delivering hymns and excerpts from his speeches in Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, paired with different types of music, Rolling Stone reported.
The album is also available for pre-order on iTunes, and will release internationally on Nov. 27.
One of the tracks, “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!” is currently available to stream on Soundcloud.
Pope Francis has made a significant impact during his papacy thus far, including efforts to reform the Catholic church, his remarks on climate change and to victims of sexual abuse, and not to mention his presence on Twitter.
The album incorporates his own words and prayers featuring songs like “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!” which urges listeners to “wake up” and experience the “beauty of holiness.”
