Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) is officially headed to the Marvel-verse – to play Mockingbird on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The news will come as sweet vindication for fans who’ve wanted to see Palicki take on another superhero role after her brief, disastrous stint on ABC’s promptly buried Wonder Woman pilot, from Ally McBeal’s David E. Kelley. Now, according to THR, she’ll play Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird – a S.H.I.E.L.D. field agent who will clash with Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson and his team in the fifth episode of the upcoming second season.
