It’s been 15 years since “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” became one of film history’s biggest sleeper hits, so don’t think we weren’t going to see a sequel at some point. In March, the Portokalos family will introduce a new generation, as Toula (Nia Vardalos) and Ian (John Corbett) now have a daughter who is preparing to depart for college. But the roles have reversed, and now Toula is the clingy parent who doesn’t want her daughter to leave the family.
The first trailer premiered Wednesday on the “Today” show. For those of you who, like us, thought Andrea Martin was the best part of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” you’re in luck — she appears to be in fine form here. The same goes for Lainie Kazan, Michael Constantine and Joey Fatone, who all reprise their roles. The movie opens March 25.
