With Marvel movies announced through 2019, and plenty of currently untitled slots to fill, fans are of course speculating about what we may see next. In speaking with IGN, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige teased the oft-discussed Black Panther and Captain Marvel films as distinct possibilities to land on their slate.

When asked if those two – specifically – were characters that he’d like to bring to life on the big screen, Feige said, “Absolutely.”

Adding, “They’re both characters that we like, that development work has been done on and is continuing to be done on. Certainly, the public…it’s the question I get asked more than anything else. More than Iron Man 4, more than Avengers 3. And that’s sort of the first time that’s really happened to us, so I think that makes a difference. I think that’s something that we have to pay attention to.”
