Last week, we told you about a “MST3K” Kickstarter campaign spearheaded by its creator Joel Hodgson. The goal was $2 million to start, which would be enough for three feature-length episodes.
Even Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill was on board.

Well, as of Monday, the Kickstarter has reached a little over $2.5 million, enough for those beginning episodes. Hodgson posted a video update about the campaign, announcing that Jonah Ray from Comedy Central and “The Nerdist” podcast will take over as host.
For info about the old cast and writers, or the million questions you probably have about the project, Hodgson has you covered with a bunch of updates.
