In case you haven’t spent many of your waking hours on earth watching Ryan Gosling in old “Mickey Mouse Club” videos on the Internet, here’s a little factoid for you: The A-list actor was a singer and dancer in his youth.

As the host of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, Gosling channeled his childhood in two separate musical sketches. (And also cracked up a lot in a sketch about aliens.)

In one sketch, Gosling returns to a bar in his hometown, where a former bully goads him into breaking it down to some tunes from the jukebox.

And, in a parody of NBC’s “The Wiz Live!”, Gosling plays a scarecrow from “The Wizard of Oz.”
