Kristin Cavallari’s brother has been reported missing in Utah.

On Nov. 27, the Grand County Dispatch was contacted regarding an abandoned 2014 Honda Civic seen off the road along Interstate 70. Authorities conducted a search of the area, but were unable to find a driver. The driver of the vehicle was later positively identified as Michael Cavallari, based on vehicle registration, credit card receipts and surveillance footage from a convenience store.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office is handling this matter as an
active missing person investigation.

“There’s really no signs of anything,” Sheriff Steven White of the Grand County Sheriff’s Office told the “Today” show. “The vehicle was just abandoned.” He added, “There’s no sign of foul play that we can tell. We’re still piecing everything together.”

Michael is the older brother of the former “Hills” star, 28, who gave birth to her third child, a girl, with husband Jay Cutler on Nov. 23.
