“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” may have only been out in theaters for less than two weeks, but it’s already nudged overall ticket sales to another record.

The film’s $571.4 million domestic gross has propelled overall North American ticket sales for 2015 to $11 billion. This figure makes 2015 the highest-earning year in domestic ticket sales, surpassing 2013’s previous record of $10.92 billion. And, hey — there’s still over a day left.

While 2013 was helped by juggernauts like “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and “Frozen,” this year was marked by huge financial successes such as “Jurassic World,” which brought in $208.8 million in its opening weekend alone, earning $652.2 million total.

“The Force Awakens,” which has been praised by fans and critics alike, recently became the fastest film to reach the global $1 billion mark.

“You can’t do these kind of numbers without extraordinary repeat business,” Disney distribution president Dave Hollis told The Hollywood Reporter, attributing part of the film’s success to fans who want to see it over and over again. “We know anecdotally people are seeing it three and four times. Everyone wants to be part of something that has become a cultural phenomenon.”

The film’s stars continued their promotional tour this week in Shanghai, China, with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega sharing peeks of their time there.
