Escape Dead Island Launching November 18; Preorders Come with Dead Island 2 Beta Access

Deep Silver announced today that Escape Dead Island, the upcoming third-person action game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, will launch on November 18.

Escape Dead Island is different from the original Dead Island and sequel Dead Island: Riptide in a number of ways, the first of which is price: the game will sell for $40. In addition, it features cel-shaded graphics, compared to the realistic visual approach of the first games.

Concerning story, Escape Dead Island is set on the all-new island of Narapala (which is not a real place), and bridges the gap between the original Dead Island and 2015’s Dead Island 2. The game was developed by Swedish studio Fatshark (Bionic Commando Rearmed 2).

According to a new trailer for Escape Dead Island released today, preordering the game will guarantee you access to an upcoming beta for Dead Island 2. However, there are no details yet on when this beta will begin or what it will entail.

Escape Dead Island and Dead Island 2 aren’t the only new Dead Island titles in the works. A Dead Island MOBA called Dead Island: Epidemic is currently in development for PC. It is now in beta.
