Fox has just ordered a new pilot starring Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “DeTour” is a coming-of-age comedy about a famous rocker who leaves success behind to find a simpler life. The story is inspired by Cuomo’s actual hiatus from music to study at Harvard.

“Psych” creator Steve Franks is set to write the script and produce the show with Tagline Television’s Chris Henze and Willie Mercer.

Weezer has reportedly sold around 20 million records and has a new studio album due out in October.
