Master Chief Motorcycle Helmet Will Let You Look Like the Halo Star Next Year

Collectibles manufacturer NECA is at work on a Master Chief motorcycle helmet, the company recently announced.

The helmet remains a work-in-progress, and as such, the first-look video above only shows a prototype of its new

When it is released, it’ll retail for “under $400,” according to NECA’s Twitter account. That’s a hefty price for a collectible, but as a functional motorcycle helmet–which can often costs hundreds of dollars without the added thrill of looking like a Spartan–it’s much more reasonable. It also beats the potential health risks (such as death) of trying to force your head into the cat-sized Master Chief helmet that came with the Legendary Edition of Halo 3.

Additional images of the prototype can be seen on NECA’s website. The company, which has also produced a variety of video game-themed items before–from Portal turrets to action figures of characters from Team Fortress 2 and BioShock Infinite, among other games–announced last year that it would be developing a new line of Halo merchandise.

Halo fans currently have a lot to look forward to. For starters, The Master Chief Collection coming out on November 11 offers Xbox One versions of the four numbered Halo games, as well as access to Ridley Scott’s Halo: Nightfall episodic series and the Halo 5: Guardians beta. The full version of Guardians will then be released at some point next year. In the meantime, the Halo: Escalation comic series continues, the latest issue of which was released just today.
