The Golden Globes Snubbed Your Favorite Shows

Nominees for the 72nd annual Golden Globe awards were announced Thursday morning, and “Mad Men” wasn’t the only show that didn’t make the cut. While the Golden Globes did manage to recognize some of the season’s breakout hits, such as “Transparent,” and “Jane the Virgin,” it failed to give nods to many notable TV shows and usual awards horses. Here are some of the most major snubs, by category:

Best Television Series — Drama
“Mad Men”
“Homeland”
“Scandal”
“Boardwalk Empire”
“The Walking Dead”
“How To Get Away With Murder”

Best Television Series — Comedy Or Musical
“The Mindy Project”
“Louie”
“Modern Family”
“The Big Bang Theory”
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”

Best Mini-Series or Television Film
“American Horror Story”

Many notable actors were also left off the list of nominations, including Amy Poehler for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for “Parks and Recreation,” Jim Parsons for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for “The Big Bang Theory,” Peter Dinklage for Best Actor in a Drama Series for “Game of Thrones,” and Steve Buscemi for the same category for “Boardwalk Empire.”

The 72nd Annual Golden Globe awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air on Sun., Jan. 11 2014 at 8pm EST.
