It’s almost back!
AMC just released a new trailer for “The Walking Dead,” and it looks like the theme for the second half of Season 5 is survival. Though “survival” doesn’t really sound like a new concept on the show, in a preview for the final episodes, showrunner Scott Gimple said the second half will have “a huge change for the situation of these characters.”
Whether it was finding Beth or escaping the Governor, the survivors previously always had some sort of objective. Now that the Washington, D.C. plan is over with, where the group goes next is a mystery. If the new trailer is any indication, though, the second half will be all about surviving in the wilderness, shooting at random things in the woods and close-up shots of Rick’s beard. In other words, it’s going to be awesome.
“The Walking Dead” returns Sunday, Feb. 8, at 9:00 p.m. ET on AMC.
