For those of you making sacrifices to the gods for the chance of a Hellboy 3, you may be disappointed; Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army director Guillermo del Toro has revealed that he doesn’t think the movie will happen, due to a lack of financing. The director also gave away the possible plot details of the finale that may never be.

In a Reddit AMA thread, del Toro was asked why Hellboy 3 hasn’t been made, despite his and star Ron Perlman’s enthusiasm for the project. Del Toro responded by confirming that he is interested in the film, however, “…we have gone through basically every studio and asked for financing, and they are not interested.”
