Legendary R&B singer Dionne Warwick has been released from the hospital after nearly two weeks following a fall in the shower in her South Orange, N.J., home on Jan. 24, TMZ reported. Warwick, who had ankle surgery after the incident, is expected to make a full recovery.
A week after Warwick — who is a cousin of Whitney Houston — suffered the fall, news broke that Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was hospitalized after being found unresponsive in a bathtub. Brown was reportedly put in a medically induced coma following the incident, which is still being investigated.
Warwick, who was released Thursday, sent out a tweet the next day thanking all those who have been offering support:
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for all of your kind words. All in God’s plan. – Dionne
