Katie Holmes was a vision in red when she stepped out for Zac Posen’s New York Fashion Week show Monday night.

Holmes looked stunning in a simple black dress with a trumpet skirt beneath a long, crimson coat as she headed into Posen’s show in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal.

The 36-year-old actress, who was seated beside Mary J. Blige and Rihanna for the show, gave a shout-out to the designer on Instagram, writing: “@zac_posen thank you for the most exquisite fashion show I have ever seen. You are a true genius!”
