Iggy Azalea has postponed The Great Escape Tour just a month before it was scheduled to kick off. According to Def Jam Recordings, the change is “due to tour production delays.”
“To accommodate for creative team availability and tour production plans, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this Spring,” Def Jam said in a statement to Billboard. “It is important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development.” According to the trade, the tour will begin Sept. 18 in San Diego.
The news comes after rumors, reported by The Wrap, suggested that Azalea may be on the rocks with her “core team.” Additionally, Azalea has been inactive on social accounts in recent weeks. On Saturday, a message appeared on Instagram to say that she would be taking a break from social media: “Until further notice, Iggy’s Instagram will be run by management.”
