Last week saw a flurry of big news from Marvel Comics. They announced that there will be a new female Thor, the Falcon will be the new Captain America, and — less exciting but still interesting — Iron Man will become “Superior.” I couldn’t be more thrilled, but as you can imagine, there was an overwhelming blast of negativity from Internet commenters. It does suck that we live in a world where that’s the initial reaction, but despite the negativity, I’m here to tell you that changing Marvel’s Big Three in dramatic ways is a good thing.
