When you’re paid to model bikinis and lingerie, you can’t have any funky tan lines.

That’s probably why Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio went without a bikini top when she laid out with two pals in Brentwood, California, on July 26.

The 33-year-old shared the steamy photo with her 2 million Instagram followers, writing, “Brazilian time out #sunworship #cali #brazilianbabes #foreveronvacation”:

Ambrosio’s time in the sun paid off, as she looked stunning in a sexy backless gown the following day. The mother of two posted a photo rocking the dress July 27, along with a punny caption: “U got my back !!!”

The Brazilian model recently shared some body-positive advice with Self magazine when she graced their June 2014 cover.

“Having a perfect body isn’t everything. I want my daughter to be nice, have a good education and be disciplined,” she said. “That’s what makes people like her. A perfect butt doesn’t make an amazing person. It’s about feeling confident.”
