Only three episodes remain in the final season of “Mad Men,” and while notoriously spoiler-averse showrunner Matthew Weiner has made sure there won’t be any hints about how it all ends, actor Jay R. Ferguson told HuffPost Live on Tuesday that viewers are in for a surprising ride.
The actor, who plays art director Stan Rizzo in the period drama, declined to analyze viewers’ observation that several episodes this season ended with similar shots of Don Draper isolated and alone, but he said the series’ conclusion will be a treat.
“I’ll just say that I think the fans are going to be really pleased with the way it all wraps up,” Ferguson said. “I think that if you’re a fan of this show, you know to expect the unexpected. So if you think you’ve got it figured out, then I would just encourage you to get used to disappointment, because chances are you probably don’t.”
