This past weekend’s Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con revealed a few key tidbits about their Edgar Wright-less Ant-Man movie. Here are the four key takeaways from their Hall H panel.
After months of rumors, it was confirmed by Marvel Studios boss and producer Kevin Feige and by the actress herself that Evangeline Lilly is indeed a member of the Ant-Man cast. The actress revealed during the Hall H panel that she plays Hope Pym, the daughter of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man and inventor of the miniaturization superhero suit.
Douglas, however, referred to Lilly’s character as Hope van Dyne, which clearly suggests she’s the offspring of Pym and his wife, Wasp aka Janet van Dyne.
