Rob Scallon Does Death Metal On A Ukulele, Playing 'Frantic Disembowelment' By Cannibal Corpse

If you’ve never heard death metal on a ukulele before, you don’t know what you’ve been missing.

Musician Rob Scallon, who’s built a reputation for posting his crazy-creative covers online, may have outdone himself with this latest effort. It’s “Frantic Disembowelment” by Cannibal Corpse done on both ukulele and a solid-body U-bass, or the ukulele version of a bass guitar.

He even caught the attention of the band, who posted it to their official Facebook page:

And unless Scallon was joking, he learned most of the song in less than a day. Scallon posted a link to the the original studio guitar, bass and drum parts on his Facebook page at 2:30 p.m. on July 16.

I’ve decided I’m going to learn this on Ukulele,” Scallon wrote. “Video will be out in, I don’t know a year or something…”

But by 11:59 p.m., Scallon wrote that he had learned the majority of the song.

Now that’s some serious talent.

Unfortunately, at least one ukulele was harmed during the making of this awesome cover:

Scallon most recently went viral with this killer cover of Slayer’s “Raining Blood” done on a banjo. And earlier this year, he posted a video in which he played bits of 30 songs in just 1 minute.
