Did Hawkeye just miss the mark again?

Jeremy Renner told Conan O’Brien on Monday that he got into “Internet trouble” for his off-color joke about the “Avengers” character Black Widow being a slut. Renner has since issued an apology for the comment, but now he’s back to try to explain his position:

Mind you, we’re talking about a fictional character and fictional behavior, but, Conan, if you slept with four of the six Avengers, no matter how much fun you had, you’d be a slut. Just saying. I’d be a slut.

So what do you think of the explanation, Internet? Is all forgiven?
