Film4 FrightFest 2014 has announced a hugely exciting lineup of special guests, with horror legend Robert Englund the headline name to be making an appearance at this year’s fest.
The man behind Freddy Krueger will be attending the festival to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of A Nightmare On Elm Street (screening 24 August), as well as promoting his new film, The Last Showing, on 22 August.
Another big name on the schedule is Alan Moore, who will be introducing and discussing his short film trilogy, Show Pieces, while scream queen Maika Monroe will also be in town for the opening film of the festival, The Guest.
Total Film is proud to be sponsoring this year’s Guest Of Honour, with Aussie star Essie Davis the guest in question, having scored widespread acclaim for her outstanding turn in breakout success, The Babadook.
Other major names in attendance will include John McNaughton, Nacho Vigalondo and Adam Green, with a whole host of other directors and stars booked in to present their work. You can take a look at the full program here.
