Fans of weird, wonderful and downright brilliant bro(well, sister)mance movies should start get exciting.
Star of cult comedy classic Romy & MIchelle’s High School Reunion Mira Sorvino has revealed that she’s keen to make a sequel. Not only that, but co-star Lisa Kudrow and writer Robin Schiff are also on-board.
Chatting to E! Online, Sorvino said that she was continually badgered at this year’s Comic-Con by fans asking when she’d be returning to the Con to promote a Romy & Michelle sequel, and that Disney have no idea how much of a fanboy/girl success it’s become.
“[Disney] don’t realise what a cult phenomenon it has become. I mean, people dress up as us for Halloween,” she said.
And when it comes to getting the old gang back together? Well, Sorvino’s adamant that everyone would be on-board the second it was greenlit, admitting “everybody wants it!””
