Here’s the first trailer for “The End of the Tour,” which garnered rave reviews at this year’s Sundance Film Festival with Jason Segel starring as late novelist David Foster Wallace and Jesse Eisenberg as Rolling Stone writer David Lipsky.
The film recounts the story of the five-day road trip and interview between Wallace and Lipsky, while on tour for the author’s 1996 breakout 1000-page plus novel, Infinite Jest. The film features a lot of driving and a lot of talking, but it’s not one you’ll want to miss.
“The End of the Tour” is based on Lipsky’s memoir Although of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace, which was written after Wallace died in 2008.
“The End of the Tour” hits theaters July 31.
