Adam Lambert’s got nothing but love for his “core group” of fans, comprised predominantly of middle-aged females.
“I got a way with moms!” Lambert told HuffPost Live on Wednesday. “I’m like a mama’s boy, I guess.”
The “American Idol” runner-up has met “a lot of different types of fans,” but he describes the majority as fitting “a certain profile.”
“They’re my glamberts, and I love them and they’re very protective of me,” he explained. “It feels [like] family. It feels like I’m protected and they stand up for me and they fight for me. It’s like mother lion or something.”
The singer’s newest album, “The Original High,” is out now.

Correction: A previous version of this article mistakenly labeled Adam Lambert’s fans as “glam-birds.” The correct word is glamberts.
