“A great fighter once said, ‘It ain’t about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward,'” Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Johnson Creed says in the first trailer for “Creed,” a “Rocky” spinoff.
The film, from “Fruitvale Station” director Ryan Coogler, stars Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, who was played by Carl Weathers in the first four “Rocky” films. But Adonis never met his father, who died in the ring while fighting Soviet Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) in “Rocky IV.” In “Creed,” Adonis picks up the gloves and gets into the ring with a little help from the legend himself, Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa. “Creed” opens Nov. 25.
