Stephen Colbert Goes Into Apocalypse Mode Over NYSE Shutdown

Stephen Colbert isn’t taking any chances. When the New York Stock Exchange shut down over a technical problem, the upcoming “Late Show” host went into survival mode.

“Do you understand that for nearly four hours America’s bankers had no idea how rich they were?” the distressed talk-show host asked in a message recorded from his survival bunker.

Colbert’s not alone as he prepares for the post-apocalyptic world. He has an intern, a live chicken and a supply of chips and K-cups. He’s also got a message for the outside… if anyone’s left: “WORSHIP ME!”

Find out what plans he has for that chicken in the clip above.

“The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” will debut on CBS on Sept. 8.
