The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was set up to have quite the twist ending originally, judging from an alternate scene that’s popping up across the web.

The alternate ending for Amazing Spider-Man 2, which can be found via this link (for the moment anyway), resurrects Richard Parker, Peter’s father. An older, bearded Richard shows up at Gwen Stacy’s grave, surprising Peter, because he was supposed to have died in the plane crash at the beginning of the Marvel superhero film.
