The opening credits for “American Horror Story: Freak Show” have arrived, and, as expected, they’re quite disturbing.
We’ve already seen the first footage from the upcoming fourth season and we know a good amount about the characters and what to expect. On Wednesday, Ryan Murphy debuted the title sequence for “Freak Show” on Twitter, and its full of Halloween scares.
The credits include creepy clowns, lots of skeletons with extra limbs — many of which appear to be making out with or having sex with one another — and various mutilated toys and dolls, à la Sid’s collection in “Toy Story.” From the sexualized animal balloons to the woman-like figure with a third leg as her genitals, “Freak Show” looks like it’s going to have a lot of bizarre sexual content.
The title sequence is likely filled with clues about the show, as in previous seasons. We wonder if there are any hints as to which Lana Del Rey song Jessica Lange will be covering in the show (“Ultraviolence” please!).
“American Horror Story: Freak Show” has a 90-minute premiere Oct. 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
