Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 just arrived on October 25, launching with 16 brand-new multiplayer maps. However, Treyarch has confirmed the fan-favorite Nuketown map is returning this week, as well as a popular game mode.
Nuketown joins the Black Ops 6 map pool on Friday, November 1. The map has seen several themes and variations over the years, but players can expect the original 1950s-style Nuketown from 2010’s Black Ops 1. The Black Ops 6 campaign is set in the ’90s, but the developer explained that the original Nuketown map was chosen because many players have never experienced the original Nuketown setting. You can check out a new Nuketown trailer below.
While players will only have to wait a few more days for some classic Nuketown action, the popular Infected game mode arrives to Black Ops 6 later today. This is a survival-style game mode that selects one random player as “infected,” who must then work to eliminate the survivors, which turns them into infected teammates. Survivors must fight to stay alive until the time runs out, or the match ends if all players become infected.
