Break out the banjos to celebrate, Carey Mulligan and husband Marcus Mumford are new parents.

E! News reports that the “Suffragette” actress recently gave birth and made her first public appearance as a new mom at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival on Oct. 7.

No word on the baby’s gender, but the little bundle of joy is the first child for Mulligan and the Mumford & Sons frontman. The couple got married in 2012 following a nine-month engagement.

“Carey has given birth to a healthy and happy baby. She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends,” a source told E! News.

A rep for Mulligan did not immediately respond to The Huffington Post’s request for comment.
