Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd is making her acting debut on the big and small screen this year.
The 22-year-old will appear in Ryan Murphy’s “Scream Queens” this September, but her feature film debut will come in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The recent New York University graduate spoke with Interview magazine about “Episode VII” and addressed rumors about who she’s playing in the film. “I’m not Princess Leia’s daughter,” Lourd told the magazine.
Lourd also told Interview that she’s “living the dream right now.” On top of filming “Scream Queens” in New Orleans and going to auditions, Lourd is also working on an R&B album. “This is what I’ve always wanted,” she said.

The film opens Dec. 18.
