“Harry Potter” fans eagerly awaiting the upcoming “Harry Potter” play may see a familiar face at the theater.
In a new interview with NME, “Harry Potter” film star Daniel Radcliffe revealed he plans to see the London production of J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
According to a synopsis released last month, the play will focus on an adult version of the wizard — now an “overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children” — and his youngest son, Albus Severus, who fans will remember from the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
“Now that I know [Harry’s in it] I actually really want to see it,” Radcliffe told NME. “It would be a mental thing to try and see it with lots of very excited Harry Potter fans. But I kind of would like to know what happens now.”
[Editors note: Yes, the Instagrams from the row behind him will indeed be “mental.”]
Speaking of Albus Severus, J.K. Rowling made Internet waves on Thursday when she revealed on Twitter why Harry Potter named his son after Snape.

In honouring Snape, Harry hoped in his heart that he too would be forgiven. The deaths at the Battle of Hogwarts would haunt Harry forever.
