DC just kicked off a major new Batman storyline this week called “Robin Rises.” As we saw in Robin Rises: Omega #1 yesterday, Batman’s quest to resurrect his dead son Damian has hit a snag now that Glorious Godfrey and the New Gods of Apokolips have gotten involved. As the story unfolds over the next few months, Batman will have to travel to Apokolips and fight to retrieve Damian’s body.
But the big question in all of this is whether Damian will actually be resurrected. DC has confirmed that someone will take up the Robin mantle again with this story, but they’re not saying who. The publisher also debuted a teaser ad today (via Newsarama) that casts further doubt on the outcome of Robin Rises.
