The Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series goes to Julianna Margulies, for her role on “The Good Wife.”
Margulies beat Lizzy Caplan, Claire Danes, Michelle Dockery, Kerry Washington and Robin Wright in the category Monday night, August 25.
“What a wonderful time for women on television,” Margulies said in her speech.
Margulies won two other Emmy Awards in her career, for “ER” in 1995 and “The Good Wife” in 2011.
