Awkward run-ins with your exes happen to the best of us, even supermodels.

Case in point: Gigi Hadid. The 20-year-old stunner recently ended up seated right next to her former flame Cody Simpson on a flight out of Toronto. (The former couple was in Toronto for the Much Music Video Awards, but managed to avoid each other.) That means the pair, who recently called it quits for the second time, had to spend multiple hours in a confined space right beside each other.

While the situation would be mortifying for most people, the two stars handled it like pros. Simpson even shared a pic of the two of them on Snapchat, with the caption, “when u get seated next to ur ex on a plane” and a skull emoji.

When they split, Hadid’s rep told E! News that the two are still friends and have no hard feelings toward each other.
