An extended red-band trailer has arrived online for As Above So Below, John Dowdle’s nerve-shredding horror movie set among the catacombs of Paris.

The film follows a team of explorers hoping to expose the secrets of the previously uncharted network of tunnels, only to discover more lurking down there than they had bargained for.

Needless to say, the enclosed spaces soon become the least of our heroes’ worries, as various horrors from their respective pasts soon make themselves known in shocking fashion.

Not one for the claustrophobic moviegoer then, with the horribly enclosed setting serving to amp up the tension even before anything remotely supernatural has taken place…

Directed by Dowdle and co-starring Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman and Edwin Hodge, As Above So Below will open in the UK on 29 August 2014.
